It was Masters misery for Stephen Bunting, bowing out of the tournament in the first round.
Heading to Milton Keynes, Bunting was looking for a strong start to the season.
Unfortunately, he ran head first into a resurgent Dave Chisnall who completed only the second ever whitewash in Master’s history, defeating his good friend 6-0.
It was a match in which Bunting struggled to get going from the offset and his opponent taking full advantage of a misfiring Bullet.
Eventually, it was Chisnall who prevailed, limiting the Liverpudlian to just two shots at double all match.
Afterwards, a disappointed Bunting said: “Gutted really. My preparation was good but I didn’t turn up.
“But it’s the first tournament of the year and a lot of players are still a bit rusty. I’ll get back on the practice board now and get ready for upcoming first pro-tour event of the year.â€
